Hey ya everyone. Hope you have settled into 2010 just fine. I'm hoping there is no more snow in sight for the next year or two at least (fingers crossed)! Bring on the lighter evenings and the flowers blossoming asap!
So the Owl of the Night (brooch) has made an apperance on the super cool Black Cab Sessions where exciting bands get to perform, (well you guessed right) in a black cab. The Owl of the Night brooch made an appearance with Driver Drive Faster which you can see here. Lets see where else he will fly to next... but in the meantime buy the necklace version in gold here, and we will re stock the brooch soon with lots of other lovely new things :0) Ciao x

Just a little reminder to let you know that the last day for posting is Weds 16 th December. Please place your orders asap to ensure you get your parcels in time for Christmas. No orders will be sent but can still be placed during this time but we will not be open again until Fri 8th January 2010. The orders will be dealt with in chronological order from when they were placed over the holidays.

Here are the posting dates for this year!
Please order sooner rather than later and leave at least 7 working days for delivery! This is the busiest time of year and we have a lot of orders to post so please bear with us!
Junkie Lovers will close on 16th December for Christmas break and this is the last day we will process anything until the New Year - 8 th January. All orders will be sent out and processed in the order they were placed. Please do not use the Special delivery option after 16th December. We will do everything we can to help as we want your items to arrive in time for the stocking but we cannot be held responsible for anything hat doesnt get there in time!
Last recommended dates for Europe and the USA - Friday 4th December to ensure delivery before Christmas.

I have always liked the aesthetic of photo realism and the joy of capturing the everyday no matter how seemingly ordinary, and I especially love the work of Corrine Day's early photos and Stephen Shore. I watched the William Eggleston documentary on iplayer which was v.inspiring and this motivated me to get up and get snapping. So with an old 35 mm from a charity shop I headed out and this is a few samples of what I came up with...

At Junkie Lovers we obviously are not sweet enough.....(!) as Sugar have featured us for their latest August issue, where our Watch the World go Round necklace is featured on the 'Kitsch me Quick' fashion shoot which we think is great and very us indeed!!
We have also been getting creative with our own fashion shoots recently. My good friend Angela kindly modelled for the greater good of the website! (Thanks so much!) I think it was the promise of a cupcake from Sweet Tooth Cupcakery which persuaded her in the end! Here are some shots from the shoot!
